Most routers probably won't understand an address node on a road. OSM-based routers will use the road that takes you closest to your destination, though. A quick test seems to show appropriate navigation via the alleyway.

Such a trail as the ones described are almost always highway=path. This has to do with tagging conventions originating in the UK. You may also tag bicycle=yes to make it explicit that bicycles are allowed.
