Which part are you referring to? The limits with the so-called republics of Donbass or Crimea?

Dear woodpeck,
I just wrote you a PM. I already wrote with one of your fellow guys from the DWG about that back in June, but I didn't follow up because one of my loved ones passed away and because I had to spend 3 months abroad due to work.
All the rest of the info will be in PM. Thank you.

The DWG did not give me any instructions to delete anything so far, but they gave me other instructions (that I will keep between them and myself, and that I am already complying with).
Anyway, I won't have the physical possibility to verify what I marked manually as "seen on the spot" nor what the DWG asked me to additionally verify until the end of the summer (I am constantly on business trips) and I barely have the time since mid-May to edit anything on OSM.
As a preventive step, if your concern is REALLY the legality of such data (and not, once again, personal animosity), I'd suggest you to delete the names of forests except the ones at the very border with Latvia (I am referring to the ones that touch the border).
I also recall having edited something close to Belarus. For most of those forests, either I saw the names somewhere on the spot, either I recall local people calling them like that (for which a "loc_name" tag can always be added, but I am awaiting confirmation from the DWG if I should do that).
I also remember having seen a couple of forests marked on the spot with specific names between Eišiškės and Pirčiupiai, but I forgot to mark them. I quoted their names somewhere, but these notes are somewhere at my home.

... and actually this specific one, as far as I remember, was taken on the spot.

Who told you this data is illegal?
For the forests, it is already arranged.

104495043

You might be right, but let's wait for their reply.

1) In 2012, before I started living in Lithuania, I've got a present: a paper map representing all protected areas, but also a couple of forests (not all). I got the approval of the person that gave it to me, that worked in a related institution and that allowed me to use that data as I had already created an account on OSM.
2) Most of the names of the forests can also be found on (usually wooden) roadsigns on the spot.

I've just contacted the DWG for their opinion on the matter, as I've started using this map only very recently (it's too big to use it every day). We will see what they answer. If they ask me to remove something I will. If not, we will see.

Hmmm... would you suggest, in such case, mapping 2 different points?

103502102

This basically means: if you mapped this hillfort as a summit, yes - its summit is on the LT side.
But originally, it was mapped as a hillfort, which doesn't consist only of the top. Hence, my mapping right on the border is correct.

What is disappointing is that you keep reverting changes before I even have the time to read and reply.

But as you seem to speak Latvian, I will post you the part that interests us:
"Kalnu šķērso Latvijas – Lietuvas robeža. Tieši kalna virsotnē ir robežas lauzums; apmēram 3/4 kalna ietilpst Lietuvas teritorijā un 1/4 – Latvijas teritorijā"

Actually, it is not really new. They kept part of the original stones in the building. The rest of the stones are lying beside the building. That is how we discovered that place physically speaking.
Now, I don't know what the aim of the owner is, so it is hard for me to say if, in the future, there will be any visitor center for instance. Hard for me to suggest anything in this specific case.

My friend showed me some pictures yesterday and he told me he uploaded his videos to Mapillary yesterday evening. I guess those pics will be on Mapillary at the very beginning of the week. Also, I saw that place "live". I didn't find anyone to ask, and I barely found some documents of the existence of that place only in Polish. So far, I haven't found anything in Lithuanian, but I didn't spend more than 15min. searching to be honest.

Hi iWowik
As discussed during our chat on Telegram, please stop changing name:pl from "Czarny trakt" to "trakt Czarny".
As I already told in the Telegram chat, it makes totally no sense to change "Czarny trakt" to "trakt Czarny". Every single Polish mapper will tell you the same."Czarny trakt" is a historical name, and "trakt Czarny" sounds simply foolish.
Moreover, I started deleting the words "ulica" and "jezioro" in name:pl, to be in accordance with the practice in Poland. You want to respect the Polish rules on name:pl? Please do not delete my changes.
Thank you in advance.

O.K.

I understand what you mean, but what else do you propose? A primary road leading right through the city center just because its administrative classification is higher than bypasses? Sometimes mappers need to be more Cartesian rather than dogmatic for navigational purposes

95818194

This change has been done for navigational purposes actually, so OSM-based GPS-es do not lead right through the Gludeni city center. If you really feel like correcting that, then do it (I don't have access to my PC right now).
There are quite a lot of cases, in former USSR countries, where roads numbered as "trunk" or "primary" by the local authorities, go right through city or village centers. Then, a bypass is built, but ... they "forget" to change the road numeration, which makes people map by passes as "secondary" while the old road through the city center is marked as "trunk" or "primary". The direct consequence of that is traffic not diverted where it should be.
This case is a bit different, as we are referring to a sort of bypass that is not marked the same from the beginning till the end, but it is stille due road numbering
