Since the floods of 1998, this area was once a residential area, It it now a park. The name of the park is Rotary Park. Various play benches and a soccer field now encompasses this area bordering East Canal/Cisneros and Barron Streets.

Southwest Texas Junior College and Sul Ross University -Rio Grande College has changed due to the renovation of the campus. Half of the campus was renovated making the SWTJC side of the map obsolete.
